Privacy Policy

Sota AI Video Generator is a small studio for turning ideas into moving pictures. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain words, what happens to your information when you create with Sota. The app is provided by Gerd Nordenskiöld ("we", "us"). Effective date: 21.10.2026.

The short version

There is no sign-up and no account. You open the app and start creating. We collect only what is needed to generate your videos and to know whether your subscription is active. We do not sell your personal data.

What we do not collect

Because Sota has no user accounts or sign-in, we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, password or social media profile. We do not receive your payment card details. Those stay with Apple.

What passes through the app

When you create, the prompts you write and any material you choose to provide for a generation are sent to our servers so a video can be produced and returned to you. To manage subscriptions, limited technical information is used, such as an anonymous app or device identifier, purchase and subscription status, and basic app and device details. This information is used to deliver the service, not to identify you personally.

Where your videos are made

Generations run on our own backend, operated by the developer. Your prompts and inputs are processed there to produce your video. We use them to provide the feature you asked for, keep the service running and protect it from misuse.

The services we work with

Apple App Store: distributes the app and handles all purchases and subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes your payment under its own privacy policy, and we receive only confirmation of the purchase and its status, not your card or billing details.

Adapty: when used, Adapty helps us track subscription status and related analytics, such as whether a subscription is active, renewed or cancelled, and how the subscription screens perform. This lets the app unlock the right features for you. Adapty processes this information under its own privacy policy.

How long things stay

We keep information only for as long as it is needed to generate and deliver your videos, maintain your subscription access, meet legal obligations and keep the service secure. After that, it is deleted or kept in a form that no longer identifies you. Subscription and purchase records held by Apple are kept according to Apple's own policies.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold that relates to you, and ask us to delete it. Because there are no accounts, we may ask for details that help us find the relevant records, such as an identifier or purchase information. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your Apple ID subscription settings. You can also stop all processing at any time by deleting the app.

Changes to this policy

If the way Sota handles information changes, we will update this policy and its effective date. Continuing to use the app after an update means the new version applies.
